Sec. 2. "Indiana first responder" means an individual who: (1) is employed by; (2) is a member of; or (3) serves as a volunteer for; a public safety agency, a 9-8-8 crisis response center (as defined in IC 12-21-8-1), or a mobile crisis team (as defined in IC 12-21-8-3) certified by the division of mental health and addiction under IC 12-21-8-10, and whose duties include responding rapidly to an emergency.
