Sec. 17.2. (a) This section is effective October 1, 2026. (b) Except as otherwise provided by federal law, the office of the secretary shall count any income of a household member who is ineligible due to the household member's immigration status when calculating and determining an individual's financial eligibility for Medicaid. (c) The office of the secretary shall apply for any Medicaid state plan amendment necessary to implement this section.
