Sec. 2. (a) An unlicensed child care ministry under section 1 of this chapter may not operate unless the child care ministry: (1) has registered with and met the requirements of the division; and (2) for an initial registration only, has been inspected and found to be in substantial compliance with applicable building and fire safety laws by the department of homeland security. Registration application forms shall be provided by the division. (b) A registration application under this section must include a current and valid electronic mail address for the applicant. (c) Registration under this section expires two (2) years after the date of issuance unless revoked, modified to a probationary or suspended status, or voluntarily returned. (d) Upon receipt of an initial registration: (1) the division shall notify the department of homeland security of the filing; and (2) the department of homeland security shall inspect the unlicensed child care ministry.
