Sec. 30. (a) "UIC Class VI permit" means a permit issued under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act's Underground Injection Control program that allows: (1) a person; (2) a trust; (3) a corporation; or (4) another entity; to construct or operate a carbon dioxide injection well. (b) The term does not include a: (1) draft permit; (2) proposed permit; or (3) permit that is not subject to final agency action. (c) The term does not authorize the transportation of carbon dioxide.
