Chapter 6. Physician Order for Scope of Treatment (POST)

Sec. 21. (a) A physician order for scope of treatment document that was executed by a qualified person in another state may be honored if the following conditions are met: (1) The physician order for scope of treatment document is on a form prepared by a state agency and was executed according to the laws and rules of that state. (2) A: (A) licensed physician, advanced practice registered nurse, or physician assistant; and (B) qualified person or representative; have signed and dated the physician order for scope of treatment document. (3) The physician order for scope of treatment document is in English. (b) The state department shall maintain on the state department's website a list of, or a website link to, each state that may honor a POST form.
