Sec. 2.8. "Cryptocurrency" means a virtual currency that: (1) is not issued by a central authority; (2) is designed to function as a medium of exchange; and (3) uses encryption technology to: (A) regulate the generation of units of currency; (B) verify fund transfers; and (C) prevent counterfeiting. The term does not include payment stablecoin.
