Chapter 17. Fire Safety in Public Buildings

Sec. 4. An owner of a public building commits a Level 6 felony if: (1) the owner knowingly or intentionally violates section 2 of this chapter; and (2) bodily injury (as defined by IC 35-31.5-2-29) or a loss of life occurs to a person lawfully in the public building as a result of a fire in the building.
