Sec. 4. (a) IC 37-2-6-4 and IC 37-2-6-5 apply to garnishments related to a rental purchase agreement. (b) With respect to a debt arising from a rental purchase agreement, regardless of where made, the lessor may not attach unpaid earnings of the debtor by garnishment proceedings or other similar proceedings before the entry of a judgment in an action against the lessee arising from a rental purchase agreement.
