Chapter 26. Marion County Crime Reduction Pilot Project

Sec. 6. Before November 1, 2023, and before November 1 of every year thereafter, the board shall send a report of its activities to the legislative council. The report must be in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 and include the following information: (1) A copy of every interoperability agreement entered into or renewed in the past year. (2) A list of all: (A) Part One crimes (based on the reporting methodology of the Federal Bureau of Investigation); and (B) crimes of violence (as defined in IC 35-31.5-2-79); committed in the downtown district within the previous five (5) years. (3) The crime clearance rates for each crime described in subdivision (2). (4) A list of every major event that took place in the downtown district within the previous year. (5) The number of times a law enforcement agency made a referral to, or requested assistance from, a social worker or mental health services provider (including a provider who specializes in addiction services). (6) A completed crime perception survey for the previous year (based on the survey prepared by Downtown Indy, Inc.).
