Chapter 6.8. Northeast Indiana Casino Operations

Sec. 3. (a) An applicant must submit the following with an application under section 2 of this chapter: (1) A copy of a resolution adopted by a majority of the board of county commissioners of the county selected by the applicant under section 2(a)(1)(A) of this chapter that supports the applicant's proposed license. (2) If the proposed casino will be located within a municipality, a letter of support for the proposed license signed by the mayor of the municipality. (b) Except as provided in section 5 of this chapter, a unit (as defined in IC 36-1-2-23) may: (1) privately negotiate with an applicant before an application is submitted; and (2) support or decline to support specific applicants in a letter or resolution under subsection (a).
