Chapter 13. Executive Officers' Annual Report to State Board of Accounts

Sec. 1.1. (a) This section applies to a unit (as defined in IC 36-1-2-23). (b) A report under section 1 of this chapter that is submitted after December 31, 2012, must include a statement by the executive (as defined in IC 36-1-2-5) of the unit regarding whether the unit has implemented a policy under IC 36-1-20.2 and IC 36-1-21. If a unit does not implement a policy under IC 36-1-20.2 and IC 36-1-21, the department of local government finance may not approve the unit's budget or any additional appropriations for the unit for the ensuing calendar year.
