Chapter 1.5. Certification of Alcohol Server Training Programs

Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "alcohol server" means the following: (1) A person who works on the licensed premises of a retailer permittee as: (A) a manager; (B) a bartender; (C) a waiter or waitress; or (D) except for a current or retired law enforcement officer (as defined in IC 35-31.5-2-185) or a graduate of a reserve officer program approved by the Indiana law enforcement academy, a contractor or an employee responsible for examining an individual's identification to determine the individual's age, including controlling the entry of individuals to a licensed premises at a time when entry into the licensed premises is restricted to those individuals at least twenty-one (21) years of age. (2) A person who works on the licensed premises of a dealer permittee as a: (A) manager; or (B) sales clerk. (3) A person who is the proprietor of or is employed by an art instruction studio under IC 7.1-5-8-4.6 that serves wine brought into the studio by patrons.
